What you say about your team stays on your phone

It is processed as you speak and then it is gone. There is no recording of you anywhere — not on the device, not on a server, not in a backup. Speech is turned into text so the counterpart has something to answer, and the audio itself is discarded as it goes.

Every run, transcript, debrief and trend is stored locally on your device, protected by the phone's own encryption. We cannot read them. Nobody can.

When you name a real colleague — in a Brief, in a run, or when you describe your own situation — that name is replaced with a placeholder before anything is sent for processing. The mapping back to the real name stays on the device.

Steady has no sign-up, no email address and no password. There is nothing of yours on a server to lose, and nothing to delete on our side, because there is nothing there. Subscription status is handled by Apple, not by us.

Because there is no account, there is no account to delete — the deletion that matters is the one below, and it happens on the device, immediately, without asking us.

To make the counterpart answer you, the text of what you said in a run is sent to a language model provider over an encrypted connection, with real names already replaced. It is used to generate the reply and the debrief for that run, and it is not used to train models.

Steady counts five things: that a run finished, that a debrief was read, that the subscription screen appeared, and that a trial or a purchase started. Each one carries numbers and short labels — how long the run was, which situation it was, whether you were on a trial. Never a word of what you said. There is no screen recording, no session replay, and no field in that data that could hold a sentence.

It is on by default, and you can turn it off in You → Privacy at any time. When it is off the app does not send the request at all — it is not collected and quietly discarded, it never leaves the phone.

Steady does not collect crash reports. There is no crash reporting in the app.

You → Privacy → Delete everything removes every run, transcript, debrief, trend and setting from the device. It tells you exactly what is about to go before it goes. It cannot be undone, and it does not need our help to happen.

Steady is built for working adults managing teams, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.

If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your phone, the app will say so before the change takes effect rather than quietly updating this page.
